A 6500 km walk
At 60 years
of age, Jacques Gauthier began walking across the largest country in the
world. By doing so, he surprised those, who 10 years earlier, had believed
he would spend the rest of his life as a quadriplegic.
His journey began on the Pacific shore of Vancouver on March 27, 1999
and ended 7 1/2 months later on the Atlantic coast, after reaching Halifax
on November 14 of that same year. In total, 7 800 000 steps!
This walk is a powerful celebration of life , a unique demonstration of
health and vitality, and the proof that we can all recover and lead a
healthy life.
From his life experience, Jacques is deeply convinced that everything
is possible.
All one must do is take one step at a time!
